• Under the overall supervision of the Chief Logistics Officer, and within delegated authority, the Mail Clerk will assist the International Supply Officer to
• Under close supervision performs routine clerical, administrative and/or secretarial duties where assignments are well defined and only require minimal interpretation, judgment or discretionary action. Supports/interacts with line management and a departmental team to achieve the required objectives. Performs duties such as receiving incoming and outgoing mail, and other mail related inquiries. Maintains files, keeps records, prepares schedules, compiles reports, and processes documents of a routine nature.
• Operates general office equipment such as , computer, copier, calculator, laminators, printing machines or other similar machines. Displays a strong knowledge of desktop tools such as the Microsoft Suite of office products and electronic mail systems.
• Mail Clerk is responsible for opening, sorting, screening, and batching mail (letters, parcels etc.) received in the mailroom.
• Sorting and distributing mail throughout various departments
responsible for assembly of printed materials, stuffing envelopes, and preparing materials for distribution.
• College diploma or equivalent is essential
• Ability to speak and write fluently English is essential
• Able to work quickly and accurately
• Demonstrate 1-2 years of recent experience as a Mail Clerk
• Have a stable and verifiable work history
• Fluency in Dari and other local languages is essential
• At least 2 years experience in a similar post
