Job Summary:

Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring and managing the local and wide area networks of an organization to ensure maximum uptime for users. The role can include designing system, configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new network, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary.

Skills Description:

Duties & Responsibilities:

Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks 

Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards 

Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS) 

Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability 

Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning 

Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team 

Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information; managing projects. 

Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation 

Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximise network efficiency and security 

Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases 

Conduct network modeling and analysis to construct a reliable, high-performance integrated network 

Design, recommend and implement new solutions to improve the resilience of network operations

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in network administration, information technology, or computer science ]

Additional certifications preferred, such as 

      Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) 

      Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) 

Retain familiarity with various network types including LANs, WANs, WLANs, SANs, and VoIP networks 

Open to being on call outside of regular working hours as well as occasional nights and weekends in the office
