To establish, scale up and strengthen IMAM program within health facilities and communities in Kabul city
Mission 1: Manage the implementation of all activities and ensure the quality of health/nutrition is maintained at HFs.
Ensure quality IMAM services are implemented within the project catchment area.
On a regular basis monitor, supervise and follow-up nutrition and health activities implemented at HFs.
Provide essential mechanisms to ensure adherence to standard protocols (i.e. ACF, National/ international standards) within the different nutrition interventions.
Ensure enter of data in the DBs and monitor the program data
Ensure that each team has the appropriate tools
Ensure that other essential complementary activities are well mainstreamed within the major nutrition interventions i.e. positive care practices are promoted; health education is integrated within SAM & MAM and PLW services at Health facilities.
Liaise with support department with anticipation to ensure proper implementation of the project.
Support community health structure in streamlining nutrition screening and nutrition education including IYCF promotion.
In coordination with PM and health facility leadership, monitor and supervise project staff in day to day implementation of health and nutrition activities at health facility with detail focus on existing protocols.
Ensure that other essential complementary activities are well mainstreamed within the major nutrition interventions i.e. positive care practices are promoted; health education is administered within OTP and other HF levels; and also during the implementation of the mobile team activities.
Liaise with support department with anticipation to ensure proper implementation of the project.
Organize regular meeting with communities and local authorities for better collaboration and accountability
Planning the intervention among the Kabul city communities jointly with elders and Shuras
Plan the training for mothers on Mother MUAC and sensitizations on nutrition, health and hygiene
Provide regular feedback on the field activities to the line manager
Mission 2: Human resource management and administration
Participate in determining staffing needs and in carrying out recruitment process as per established HR policies.
Carry out performance appraisals, supportive supervision and motivation of staff under him/her.
Identify training needs of the nutrition staff, prepare and facilitate/ execute the trainings both theoretical and on the job as required.
Mission 3: To ensure appropriate collaboration with the implementing partner
Participate actively in defining the working relationship between ACF and relevant partners.
Establish and uphold a cordial working relationship between ACF and relevant partners
Support the PM to share project progress reports with the DoPH and relevant partners
Mission 4: To participate in internal/external coordination and ensure timely reporting on programmes.
Ensure constant M & E of the nutrition program.
Prepare , monthly report and contribute to donor and other project reports as requested by the line manager
As assigned by line manager, represent ACF in meetings and thematic forums related to nutrition and health at field level.
Participate in technical meetings with the technical staff as well as general ACF meetings.
- Medical Doctor
- A minimum of 5 years of experiences in the field of health and nutrition, especially on IMAM program
- Good organization, planning and reporting skills
- Autonomous
- Fluent English in speaking and writing
- Good computer skill
