Job Summary

Direct all Operations & Maintenance functions for Aftel Wireless Business Unit to agreed cost baseline and performance targets. Applicable to Aftel Mobile Network excluding Fibre Optic/SDH/PDH backbone Network, all power systems and IT support systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

Organizational Leadership, Management, Development & Employee Motivation

Supports Ongoing Business Development plans

Responsible for carrying out O&M services in accordance with Aftel policies and procedures

Responsible for O&M Service Delivery SLAs/KPIs

Responsible for O&M Reporting

Responsible for O&M Budgeting & Control

Ensures O&M Tools and development

Ensures O&M processes and procedures are enforced, regularly reviewed and updated

Ensures 3rd Party Management SLA’s (where applicable)

Prime management level interface to O&M in scope subcontractors & 3rd parties

Prime liaison contact for escalated O&M matters

The deliverables expected are:

Fault Management

Configuration Management (including 2nd Line Maintenance)

Change Management

Performance Management

OSS Management

Maintenance Management (Field Operations, Corrective, Preventive Maintenance, spares, tools and vehicle Management)

Customer Technical Support (CTS) management (interface to Customer Care)

Optimisation Management Support

Job Requirements

Degree/Diploma: B.Sc. Electronic Engineering

Minimum Five Years GSM or Mobile Telecommunications senior management experience

Experience in managing a diverse technical team at senior management level
