Job Summary

Mobilizing communities, hand pump spare parts shopkeepers and user groups of water points to take active participation in operation and maintenance of water points.  

Duties & Responsibilities

·        Conducting of village survey of DACAAR Wells and selection of Water Points for rehabilitation.

·        Repairing of Water Points according DACAAR policy and mobilization of Local community to able to repair in future.

·        Taking the Photos of damaged or destroyed wells before and after repairing.

·        Preparing the List of required materials for the repairing.

·        Collect data on repairs, maintenance and spare parts used in repairing of Water Points.

·        Chlorination of water sources during repairing.

·        Training of hand pump mechanic and collecting his wages during the repairing of the water points.

·        Preparing and authorizing project’s expenditure.

·        Preparing of Purchase Order Requisition for the required materials needs for the repairing of DACAAR Water Points.

·        Authorizing leave for site staff.

·        Preparing and signing the daily work record

·        Preparing the monthly work plan.

·        Preparing monthly progress, stock and attendance reports.

·        Filling of Log book and providing Fuel to Rented vehicle according to DACAAR Policy.

·        Any other task assigned by supervisor 

Job Requirements

Education/ Qualification and Employment Benefits                                               

Education: Bachelor degree in civil engineering.

Experience: At least three years of experience in relevant WASH projects.

Other qualifications’ an advantage: Hand Pump Technical Skills

Languages: Dari/Pashto & English.
