Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of Security Advisor the Operations Security Assistant /Radio Operator is responsible to assist the Sr. Security Associate in all clerical and operational aspects of Security including the:
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Establishment and maintenance of filling system.
• Preparation of documents for security briefings, meeting, road mission, etc.
• Facilitation and overseeing of radio messages through the radio room.
• Preparation of Daily/weekly/Monthly reports and incident statistics.
• Filling and administrative follow up of all electronic communications.
• Record keeping for all security budgetary activities.
• Provide administrative support for security meetings and workshops.
• Process security authorization requests of all departments.
• Make sure all the security related reports from AMACs are received in accordance to the deadline from MACCA.
• Act as Radio Room Operator with 40% of time allocated to this function.
• Carries out all radio operations activities for the Mine Action Program.
• Operates all types of communication equipment including local land and phone lines.
• Monitors and operates HF and VHF radio channels
• Maintain records of Sat phone and fax use
• Transmits and receives messages for all personnel working in the de-mining program
• Logs and transmits and receive messages for all Mine Action Program activities.
• Record all necessary messages such us mine and security incidents and accident reports
• Monitors movement of MACCA/UNOPS personal on mission when asked.
• Receives and logs all clearance organizations stat and clearance activities on daily basis
• Monitors the daily radio check for al international staff.
• Perform any other duties relevant to the field as required.
Job Requirement:
• High School diploma or its equivalent
• Fluent in languages English, Pashto and Dari (written and oral);
• Computer literate in Email, windows applications and spreadsheets.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to work independently while under pressure.
• Familiar with security system.
