Job Summary

The (Pashto Translator/interpreter) is a full-time, professional position located at the USWDP project office in Kabul.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key responsibilities and tasks of the position include:

Translate documents of various natures, particularly academic texts, accurately and fluently,

Interpret simultaneously in meetings, workshops, seminars and other events in both national languages,

Review and proofread translation of other colleagues and outsourcers,

Carryout other duties as assigned by the Translation & Publications Department Manager.

Job Requirements

University graduate in literature, journalism or other relevant field,

Four to five years of practical experience in the field of translation and interpretation,

Fluent in Pashto, Dari and English Languages,

Having knowledge and experience in using computer,

Demonstrate initiative and self-motivation in daily tasks,

Ability to work in a team and under pressure,

Experience with USAID funded projects is preferred.
