Job Summary

Background:
Contractor has recently been awarded multiple contracts for design build construction services for the US Government in Afghanistan. Candidates are sought to join our team of professionals for a successful project.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Planning Manager is responsible for preparation and management of project budgets and schedules for one or multiple design-build facilities projects, typically for the US Army Corps of Engineers in Afghanistan. Primary duties include the following:
• Preparation of project construction schedule using Primavera software
• Phasing and cost-loading schedules in cooperation with senior company officials
• Exporting schedule files in SDEF format for upload into RMS/QCS software
• Conduct frequent site walkthroughs to predict any activities likely to go over budget or over schedule
• Track project time and cost, highlight all problem activities, and make recommendations to reverse negative trends, make up lost time, redistribute resources, and save cost
• Preparation of professional quality progress reports using Earned Value Management techniques, graphics, and photographic supporting documentation

Job Requirements

Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years experience scheduling vertical construction projects greater than $1M and with 100-500 activities
• USACE project experience highly preferred
• Fluent English language and effective communications skills
