Job Summary

Duty Station:, KBL,WAPCA Office, with frequent visits to the hydromet stations spread over all parts of the country

Duties & Responsibilities

Review the Hydro-met stations site plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materials

Identify required tools and special equipment

Select the type and size of pipe required

Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures

Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment

Assemble and install valves and fittings

Install the fence and other related tools and equipment in needs of the site.

Any other jobs assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Must be a certified plumber or a diploma holder in plumbing from a vocational institute.

A minimum two years of work experience in plumbing.

Experience in a similar job in a establishment of hydromet network is an additional asset. Working knowledge of English and good command of national languages (Dari/Pashtu) required.

A consultant will be selected in accordance with Section V Selection of Individual Consultants procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (May 2004 as revised in October 2006 and May 2010).
