Job Summary

Power Operations Manager is responsible to lead and guide a group of power engineers and technicians for the operations and maintenance of power systems in all ACG sites. The power sources may consists of solar panel, diesel generators, commercial/city power or the combination of multiple sources.

Duties & Responsibilities

Routine maintenance of different AC and DC power systems, rectifiers and power sources like DGs, solar panels and city power etc.

Diagnose malfunctioning in system, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools.

Able to repair all the electrical and mechanical parts of the diesel generators whenever required.

Implement and maintain power distribution systems.

Select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.

Ensure that field teams, including sub-contractors, are supervised and their standard of work is acceptable and incompliance with recognized safety practices and agreed specifications.

Manage the wiring of all passive equipment.

To perform effective troubleshooting to identify the faults and then repair or substitute the damaged parts.

Perform Preventive maintenance of all power elements on regular basis.

Assist Power Planning team in the implementation and acceptance process of new projects.

Properly manage the consumable warehousing and usage.

Perform operational maintenance and load banks on equipment, and perform major repairs and overhaul of mechanical parts.

Take immediate corrective measures in critical/emergency issues and report the root cause analysis accordingly.

Ensure all power and fuel related alarms are working properly in all sites.

Drive ownership of health & safety in all aspects of project execution and office environments.

Proper and regular reporting of all scheduled and emergency obligations.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical with 5 years of professional experience in related field. Working in Telecom environment will be preferred.

Hands on experience with AC/DC power generation, conversion, distribution and protection systems.

Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write design documents and test plans.

Basic knowledge of Telecommunication and mobile network fundamentals, standards, specifications and generations.

Ability to build, lead, manage, and motivate teams in a dynamic environment.

Highly organized, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines under the highly pressured circumstances.

Experience and familiarity with Electrical Codes and Standards including electrical safety rules.

Extensive experience on Incidents and problems management.

Make technical and process recommendations.

Self-disciplined, self-motivated and the ability to organize and prioritize time effectively.

Able to travel and work throughout the country, including remote locations
