Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Power Supervisor to provide guidance regarding the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
Power supervisors are experienced electricians who lead, motivate, monitor and oversee a team of electricians to ensure they produce quality work.

Duties & Responsibilities

Making schedules, assigning work and training employees

Motivate electricians to increase their productivity and meet work goals

ensure the proper maintenance of equipment, compliance with electrical codes and adherence to safety regulations

Assist with electrical system installation, troubleshooting and repair as needed

Purchase supplies, ensure adequate inventory, coordinate with power director for planning budgets, prioritize purchases, prepare cost estimates and document their purchases

Cooperates with representatives of other organizations in solving interrelated administrative, organizational, and electrical problems

Delegates functional activities to workers and establishes supervisory schedules and responsibilities to ensure quality. Reviews and approves material requisitions and work authorization

Reviews and approves drawings for facilities

Schedules operation and maintenance work programs and periodically inspects work activities to ensure compliance with company and government regulations

Prepares monthly operating report

Any other duty assigned by department manager

Job Requirements

Associate’s bachelor’s degree in an electrical or engineering field

Minimum 3+years of experience is necessary along with leadership and troubleshooting skills

Familiarity with electrical systems, tools, equipment, codes and safety procedures

Be familiar with computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office and CAD (computer-aided design)

Troubleshooting skills and familiarity with hazardous classifications

Ability to read, analyze, electrical procedures, or governmental regulations

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manual

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
