The PR (Public Relation) Communication Officer will work under the direction and supervision of the NC/program manager to provide support to NCU in developing and implementing NRAP’s communication and PR plan and undertake Communication/PR activities related to NRAP, and to provide assistance in responding to requests about information on NRAP. PR Communication Officer will also assist in the development of capacity within MRRD and MoPW in the areas of Communication and Public Relations.
ï‚§ Assist implementation of the NRAP communication and PR strategy (to be harmonized to the extent possible with communication/PR activities undertaken or planned by MRRD, MoPW and their main programs).
ï‚§ Finalize the current NRAP Communications and PR (CPR) work plan and budget
ï‚§ Defining the target audiences for the NRAP CPR work plan and assist with the establishment and maintenance of databases of contact details of the distinguished target audiences.
ï‚§ Study and review documents and other information available at the NRAP National Coordination Unit (NCU) relevant to his/her assignment.
ï‚§ Responding to requests for information about NRAP and NCU.
ï‚§ Develop and improve the internal NRAP-NCU communication structure and promote its implementation.
ï‚§ Development of standardized and harmonized set of internal and external communication procedures and instruments (like business cards, newsletter, brochure, pamphlets, website, video/film, etc.).
 Communicating NRAP’s purpose, structure, activities and outputs through workshops, meetings, press releases, seminars, newsletters, pamphlets, brochures, website, posters, information kits, etc. internally and to the different external target audiences.
ï‚§ Preparation and dissemination of reports and productions relevant to his/her assignment.
ï‚§ Perform any other duties as assigned by the NCU National Coordinator.
 Upgrading and maintenance of NRAP’s website
 Enhancement of and updating of NRAP’s photo Archive
ï‚§ Editing the draft and translated documents
ï‚§ Afghan national
 At least a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field;
ï‚§ At least 5 years of relevant and progressive experience in the field of communication and public relations and a demonstrated proficiency in English, Dari and Pashto, in reading, writing and in speaking;
ï‚§ Strong interpersonal attitude and skills
ï‚§ High managerial skills
ï‚§ Able to work with audio and video editing software
ï‚§ Good knowledge of relevant software applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other MS-based editing and document lay-out applications;
ï‚§ Prior professional experience in an UN, I-NGO, other international organizations or Governmental development programs
