Job Summary
The International Center for Afghan Women’s Economic Development (ICAWED) at the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF) is seeking applications to hire a Principle of Finance/Accounting Trainer who will Ensure that the curriculum and content delivery in the courses is congruent and sequenced appropriately taking into consideration the grades and experience of the participants. In order to smooth the administrative and financial processes, The International Center for Afghan Women’s Economic Development (ICAWED) at the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF) is seeking application to hire a Principle of Finance/Accounting Trainer to assist in following areas:
Duties & Responsibilities:
The trainer will be responsible for the Finance and Accounting Training Programme. The core focus for the courses is as follows:
Accounting & Financial Management Course Core Focus
Understanding and Analyzing Financial Statements
Capital Budgeting
Management of Cash, Accounts receivables, Inventory
Cost Analysis and Control
Sources of finance and Cost of capital
Performance budgeting, Value analysis, Financial convergence
The courses should be delivered with the highest of standards suitable for the needs of the mid-level employees and job seekers in the sector of financial management
The trainer must be able to develop a time-line activity chart for planning, conduct and post implementation for each course; explanation of rationale, curriculum and conducting methodology for each course; training programme, continuous assessments and logistics arrangements required.
The trainer must be able to by the end of his/her probationary period complete pre, conduct and post course activities for all course.
Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others;
Draft syllabus for the course of 120 hours;
Any other task assigned by his/her supervisor.
Job Requirement:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Master’s degree in Finance , Accounting and relevant development sciences with minimum 2 years working experience, or Bachelor degree in above mentioned fields with minimum 4 years’ experience, in Social Development and Gender related issues.
Experience in working with government and international organizations,
Well experienced in conducting gender related training, has undergone a Training of Trainees (TOT) course, and has conducted TOTs workshops, and hence can develop TOT for Gender Mainstreaming and development;
Appropriate written and oral communication skills, English and Dari/Pashtu;
