Procurement Agent FSN-07
Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of tasks including the purchase of goods and services from local and off shore sources. Follows up on orders, and notifies customers on the status of their orders. Provides assistance to requesting offices in the ordering process as needed ensuring that Mission policies, State Department Regulations, and USG procurement regulations are strictly adhered to.

VA 17-042 - Full Performance Level:
1. EDUCATION: Completion of High school is required.
2. EXPERIENCE: Three years of progressively responsible experience in procurement and related fields is required, at least two of which UN, NGO or western Embassy
VA 17-042T - Training Level:
1. EDUCATION: Completion of High school is required.
2. EXPERIENCE: Two years of progressively responsible experience in procurement and related fields is required, at least two of which UN, NGO or western Embassy
3. LANGUAGE: Level III (good working knowledge) of English, Dari and Pashto languages is required.
4. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Able to use Microsoft Work, Outlook, Excel, Internet, Google, etc. Be able to type 20-30 wpm on a computer be able to read and understand cataloging and on-line ordering instructions, ability to read, understand and follow complicated DOS and Federal procurement regulations, instructions and procedures.
5. JOB KNOWLEDGE: Familiar with and knowledge of local sources of supply. Knowledge of DOS procurement regulations and procedures. Must understand local pricing practices, how credit cards work and good working knowledge of internet search engines.
