ASMED (Afghanistan Small and Medium Enterprise Development) is a DAI project. Due to its expanding nature of activities, ASMED is seeking a suitable person for the position of Procurement/Inventory Assistant for its Main office in Kabul who will be responsible for the below mentioned tasks.
Provide support and assistance to all ASMED Kabul procurement efforts. Complete any procurement and inventory related tasks as assigned by the Procurement and Facilities Manager and Operations Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
â€¢Receive and process procurement requests in the Kabul office for DAI and EI staff.
â€¢Receive and coordinate Maintenance requests in the Kabul Offices and Guesthouses.
â€¢Adhere to all DAI and USAID procurement procedures and policies.
â€¢Utilize appropriate forms for initiating procurement activities, purchasing items and processing payments.
â€¢Solicit quotations and make purchases based on DAI ASMED policies and procedures.
â€¢Assist program staff with any payment requests.
â€¢Ensure all new assets are inventoried properly with ID sticke and USAID sticker.
â€¢Ensure all new inventoried items are entered into the ASMED TAMIS inventory with direction from Operations Coordinator.
â€¢Assist Operations Coordinator with quarterly inventory check on all ASMED Kabul assets.
â€¢Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure all necessary supplies and repairs are completed in a timely fashion.
â€¢Assist the Procurement Facilities Manager with vehicle registration, work permits and Visa extensions (any work that requires Ministry visits)
â€¢Assist the PFM. to international and national maintenance requests
â€¢Look after of GH#1 and GH#2 on daily base and provide all kind of assist
â€¢Any additional tasks assigned by the Operations Manager and/or the Procurement and Facilities Manager.
â€¢Secondary School education
â€¢At least 2 years of Administrative and Procurement experience.
â€¢Level 3 English Ability
â€¢Good computer skills (excel, Word)
