Equity Capital Mining (ECM) LLC. is a precious gems and marble extraction company headquartered in Dubai, UAE and with offices in Afghanistan and United States of America. The owners of the company are two gemmologists named Mr. Adam Doost and Mr. Nasim Doost who have 35 years experience in the field of mining and extraction. ECM was incorporated in Afghanistan as a limited partnership company in January 2006 and started its commercial operations in February 2007. The Company acquired 10 years renewable exclusive mining right from the Government of Afghanistan to mine the White Dove marble quarry located in the town of Chesth-i-Sharif (Heart province).
A purchasing manager Should be a professional who is mainly an expert in material management and price negotiations. Duties & Responsibilities:
-A purchasing manager has to keep a track of the quality of goods, machinery and services, brands, and the ongoing price of these goods and services; in order to determine the best source for acquiring goods and services for ECM. He has to communicate with the product suppliers to carry out the purchase. He has to keep a detailed record of the inventory of goods stored with the company for its use. A purchasing manager checks the available products in the inventory and deals in the procedures of faulty product replacement from the supplier.
-He has to meet with the operational staff of the ECM to understand about their requirements and new products available in the market. He carries out a detailed market research and survey to find what quality products are available and what prices are appropriate to be paid for the buy. Purchasing manager job responsibilities also include discussing with the company management regarding the budget estimates of the purchasing section.
-Responsible to develop and implement the policies and procedures pertaining to procurement and cost control. A purchasing manager has to record the goods and services offered, ordered, and obtained. If he comes to know that there is a surplus stock accumulated in the company inventory, he needs to take the necessary steps to dispose it off without affecting the cost.
-Responsible to design and implement the internal control procedures and documented formats for different type of controls specific to the areas under his authority.

-A purchasing manager should have good management skills, market researching tactics, negotiation skills, communication skills, and marketing capabilities. He also needs to be good in calculations, product management, manpower handling, etc. Financial management skills are essential. Having a degree in marketing or business management. Profitable decision making is a very important requirement that is needed in the purchasing management field.
-At minimum Bachelors/Diploma and preferably masters in the relevant field.
