Job Summary:

·      Develop procurement strategies that are resourceful and cost-effective

Duties & Responsibilities:


• Develop procurement strategies that are resourceful and cost-effective

• Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors, and liaise with them to determine product and service needs

• Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility and Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements

• Approving purchase orders, organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services to the relevant parties 

• Purchase goods and or services as per the approved procurement plan and make the proper use of the resources 

• Obtain quality products for competitive prices in a timely manner 

• Control the procurement budget and play an integral role in ensuring a company sticks to budgets

• Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for the company

• Research new products and services to meet the company's goals

• Prepare monthly procurement reports to the senior management 

• Any other task assigned by senior management and or the line manager

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a closely related field

• 6 - 10-year of work experience in procurement

• Understanding of Supply Chain Management Procedures

• Strong command over English, Dari, and Pashto languages  

• Ability to work under the pressure

• Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

• Excellent customer service skills 

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Management and leadership skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
