Job Summary:

Contribute to the successful implementation of NRC programme activities in Nangarhar Province (ICLA, education, Shelter etc.) and ensure compliance with NRC procedures, policies in all logistics-related activities

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage in all activities pertaining to Procurement services (Sourcing, Procurement, Delivery and Support implementation).
• To plan for supplies of goods and services required by the NRC operation within Afghanistan including the preparation of reports.
• Implement internal controls and procedures within the operation to ensure adherence to standards of the procurement function.
• Manage supplier relationships and delivery of goods and services as required by the NRC ;
• Preparation and submission of monthly reports (such as carpool and monthly inventory) to SO;.
• To do the consolidation of local procurement and contracting requirements, ensuring that NRC’s financial rules and procedures and standards are applied.
• Draft and dispatch quotation requests and/or tenders and collect from potential venders.
• Will be required to supervise and coordinate the work of lower level staff;
• Performs other duties when required.

Job Requirement:

• At least 3 to 4 years previous work experience with a satisfactory performance in the same or similar functional area preferably with UN or NGOs;
• High School graduated, Technical or University level courses is an asset;

• Experienced field worker with background from complex emergencies, and with experience from working in a difficult security environment
• Proven communication, interpersonal, representation, negotiation and leadership skills
• Fluency in the English language
• Computer skills – excel, word and access.
