Job Summary:

The position holder is responsible for the MADCC central office procurement functions in consultation with both MADCC headquarters and MADCC subsidiaries working in Afghanistan 

Duties & Responsibilities:

·        To ensure adequate policies and procedures are developed to assuring international best practices are adhered and procurement policies are implemented across the MADCC subsidiaries accordingly

·        To ensure the annual procurement plan of the subsidiaries and central MADCC office is compiled, presented to the MADCC management in Kabul which may be shared with MADCC headquarters for approvals

·        To ensure, national and international procurement of goods, works and services are processed as per the approved procurement procedures of the MADCC central office & MADCC headquarters

·        To ensure proper committees for purchasing items locally are established with proper ToR to allow the committee to proceed in meeting the MADCC standards while procuring items

·        To ensure 100% accountability, transparency in all matters and a random check of the management may be conducted to identify any discrepancies which may result in terminating the employment and forwarding the case to the legal institutes of the country

·        To ensure relevant personnel are guided, coached and mentored as required to carry their duties and assignments in meeting the MADCC standards

·        To ensure, the personnel’s performance appraisals review are conducted, rated and other procedures of the company are applied across everyone  

·        To handle any other lawful assignment given by superiors 

Job Requirement:

·        University degree in management and/or in any related field

·        3 to 5 years relevant experiences in procurement, preference will be given to private sector experiences, especially in the large companies and/or firms

·        Time management, communication, record keeping and multitasking skills

·        Effective writing both in English and local languages and computer literacy
