The Procurement Officer is responsible for providing support in the various procurement functions which include the developing, planning and designing.
Role and Responsibilities
Develop procurement and logistic along with support plans, budget requirements and deployment timelines for new operations.
Develop procurement international and national plans for current operations and procurement contingency plans.
Ensure that, the regular running of the base including management of procurement and logistic team (logistics, procurement, warehousing staff, drivers, guards and support staff).
Ensures the proper functioning of supply chain including procurement planning,
Purchasing of goods and services, their transport and storage, supervises the organization, planning, and maintenance of the fleet, evaluates/
Reports the need and ensures the proper use of WHH equipment, assesses and ensures the functioning of the means of communication appropriate for the WHH base in Afghanistan.
Prepare plans for liquidation and downsizing in Afghanistan
Develop and execute tools and methodologies to enable effective implementation procurement plans for Afghanistan projects
Design and develop standard operating methods to manage logistics operations efficiently.
Ensure accountable, timely and cost-effective release of peacekeeping cargos along with personnel.
Ensure all supervised staff members are trained as well as cross-trained adequately.
Identify added logistic and procurement training requirements to attain high working standards.
Coordinate and present procurement and logistic support to ongoing operations in Afghanistan
Ensure logistics requirements take gender-specific needs into consideration.
Coordinate logistics activities related to procurement, funding, substantive units and humanitarian affairs.
Develop and execute logistics and procurement support policy, processes and methodologies to general benefit of all mission units in Afghanistan.
Develop reports on material and personnel movements and various operational logistics and procurement problems.
Guide and oversee performance of new and staff in logistic and procurement department
Manage the vehicle and transportation staff activities and close contact with ministries to process WHH application letter for logistic section.
Qualifications and Education Requirement
MBA – 8 Years’ Experience
