Job Summary

Originate and develop programme ideas; assist in forward planning of material for future programmes

Duties & Responsibilities

Generate ideas for his/her programme and discuss it with the presenter

Help presenters invite guests to ensure a balanced panel

Suggest developments and creativities to his/her show(s)

Report his or her daily activities to manager

Produce no more than three shows

Available in urgent cases and to producer or present other show(s) in the absence of fellow presenter(s)

Originate and develop programme ideas; assist in forward planning of material for future programmes

Provide briefings for reporters, camera crews and other resources staff and contributors

Composes or edits program script to meet management or other requirements

Gives instructions to staff to schedule broadcast and to develop and coordinate details to obtain desired production

Reviews production to ensure objectives are attained

Views taped program to select scenes to be used for promotional purposes, using video equipment

Listens to audio tape recording to verify program, script, or sound effects conform to broadcast standards, using audio equipment

To represent television network, acting as liaison to independent producer of television series produced for network broadcast

To review budget and expenditures for programs for conformance to budgetary restrictions

To coordinate production details to produce live television programs from locations to station

Sending Daily, Weekly and monthly reports to line manager

Job Requirements

Bachelor degree in Journalism or any relevant field with at least one year of experience in relevant field.

Innovation and creativeness

Have Computer knowledge, proficiency with MS. Office programs

Ability to control and lead a team

Fluent in reading, writing and speaking Dari, Pashto and English

Interpersonal skills and ability to make decision
