Research and Development Organization for Afghans is a nongovernmental organization (sdroa). We are the implementing partner for US embassy for Lincoln Learning Centers across Afghanistan. Currently, we are operating in eighteen provinces of Afghanistan. The learning centers are equipped with computers, books, magazines and other reading materials. These centers offer educational/programs for various audience. These centers serve at least six thousand people all over Afghanistan.
This is full-time job, the incumbent of the position should have the ability to plan and review LLCs programming in line with U.S. Embassy (PAS) programming principles. The LLC Program Manager will review the overall Programming at the LLCs, comment, approve and review the reports.
Duties & Responsibilities:
a. Program Review: Reviews, approves, and rates weekly LLC programs for LLCs. Employee will use an online platform for all communications. All program reviews and ratings will be per rating/review standards.
b. Program Review/Rating System Designer: Employee will serve as non-technical representative for developing program review and rating systems.
c. Employee will be lead implementer for training LLCs on the programming system and will oversee introduction of the online system nationwide.
d. Review and approve/deny program budget requests from LLCs. Employee’s budget approvals will be subject to review.
e. Weekly Reporting: Writes one “highlight report” of an LLC program per week, writes one “statistical report” summarizing weekly programming for entire LLC program. Employee will submit the reports to the donor for approval.
f. Monthly LLC Statistics: Compiles monthly program statistics, submits them to the relevant statistical database.
g. Promotes the donor-organized programs to the LLC network.
h. Training Coordination: Serve as primary representative for developing and implementing an LLC staff training plan. Employee will develop the plan in conjunction with the donor. Employee will then have lead responsibility for implementing the plan. This may include regional travel to conduct trainings or consult with LLC staff.
i. Nationwide Program Coordination: In consultation with the donor, develop virtual and in-person programs for the LLC program. These programs will involve, at a minimum, two LLCs, and may involve the entire LLC network.
j. Performance Coaching: Coach low-performing LLCs on how to improve programming and operations.
k. Any other task assigned by supervisor within the scope of the job.
1. Most importantly, the incumbent should be creative, energetic, reliable, and innovative.
2. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English, Dari and Pashtu.
3. Ability to effectively present information and respond to the programmatic questions.
At least a bachelor’s degree, seven years’ work experience with the LLC program, experience developing and managing nationwide cultural or educational programs, and experience managing personnel remotely.
