Programme planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluation and suggesting new agendas to be taken in Development Areas (DA).
•Provide leadership and support to DA programme team to ensure effective management and timely implementation of work plans and budgets.
•Lead the team of community facilitators in identifying most vulnerable/marginalized people within the community, by using Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) and other participatory techniques
•Manage and implement programme interventions to achieve programme outputs and objectives, including monitoring and mid-term reviews in accordance with ActionAid Afghanistan requirements.
•Assist in the preparation of detailed proposal submissions.
•Within agreed in-country programme strategy, research and propose future programmes.
•In collaboration with community representatives, undertake detailed analysis and design appropriate interventions to meet identified needs and strengthen local capacities.
•Ensure timely compilation of situation updates, project and monthly narrative reports for field, in accordance with required reporting formats.
•Monitor programme expenditure and assist in preparing and analysing financial reports, understanding variances and taking corrective actions if required.
•Ensure that programme staff understands their individual and collective responsibilities for safety and well being.
•Provide leadership and support to DA programme team to ensure effective management and timely implementation of work plans and budgets.

•Minimum of university degree in the field of education and social development
•Good interpersonal skills
•Knowledge of child development, child psychology and rural development.
•Demonstrates competency and skill in management, leadership and teamwork.
•Skills in planning, design, conduct and evaluation of long and short-term programmes
•Need assessment and analytical skills.
•Excellent knowledge of computer MS Office
•Good communication skills in Dari , Pashto and English
•Minimum two year experience in relevant filed with NGO or INGO
•Humanitarian motivation
•Emotionally mature
•Team player
•Understanding and sensitivity to cross cultural issues
•Flexible and adaptable to ever changing environments
•Willingness to travel and live in basic conditions
