Job Summary

Overall the Program Officer will be responsible for planning, recording, and reporting the implementation of Soft Skill Trainings (SST) CMOA (Computer Management and Office Automation), and MSST (Mobile Soft Skills Training) of Career Services & Trainings component of university support stream. S/he will work with the USWDP university support team to facilitate the routine functions of SST, CMOA and MSST Trainings. The university support Program Officer reports on the related tasks to the Manager, Career Services/Trainings. The Program Officer performs tasks assigned or requested by the Manager, Career Services/Trainings including but not limited to the following:

Duties & Responsibilities


Update the training schedule of the Soft Skill Trainings, Mobile Soft Skill Trainings and Computer Management & Office Automation trainings on weekly basis for weekly and bi-weekly reports;

Collect reports and success stories of Soft Skill Trainings, Computer Management & Office Automation, and Mobile Soft Skill Trainings from USWDP SST Trainers, IT Officers/Computer Trainers, Ustaad mobile project team and/or Head of Career Centers, and compile all the reports from Career Centers into one document;

Document all training schedules, reports, success stories and collect all statistic data of SST, CMOA and MSST trainings on regular basis and present it to Career Services/Trainings Manager of University Support department;

Develop and maintain a project specific photo bank. Photos and videotapes of relevant University Support events happening at USWDP Career Centers/and or target universities;

Attend the bi-weekly meeting with USWDP IT team and USWDP IT Officers/Computer trainers from the field and work closely with USWDP’s IT team to communicate any IT technical issues faced by IT officers in the Career Centers;

Ensure filling system is organized and that all the files of Career Services/Training team are up to date;

Consistent follow up with SST trainers, IT/Computer Trainers, MSST Trainers based at USWDP Career Centers and make sure the training data in all Career Centers are uploaded into the database and shared with M&E Department of USWDP;

Maintain both electronic and hard versions of the document records to share it with M&E stream for reporting purposes;

Support the work of the University Support Department by providing specialized, technical and administrative assistance for the successful implementation of the planned activities at the USWDP Career Centers/target universities;

To organize and complete all the logistical paperwork of travels, workshops, events, etc. of the Career Services/Trainings component of University Support Department;

Conduct field visits, collect and communicate data related to University Support functions;

Contribute in developing biweekly and monthly reports;

Take minutes of the internal and external meetings and follow up the action points accordingly;

Provide administrative and logistical support to the Senior Career Center Officers of University Support Department;

Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

·        Bachelor Degree in English Education, Public Administration etc with four years experience in the related field;

Experience with a USAID-funded projects preferred;

Able to write, communicate and use email effectively in English;

Experience in using word processing and spreadsheet and PowerPoint;

Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation in handling all assigned tasks.

Fluency in Dari and Pashto languages.

Able to write, communicate and use email effectively in English;
