UNDP Afghanistan is supporting the Government of Afghanistan to implement the Afghanistan Peace and Reintegration Programme. This programme is supported by the international community and the United Nations to bring long term security and stability to Afghanistan. To implement this programme, a Peace and Reintegration (P&R) Trust Fund will be established to support various reintegration efforts, including training programmes, development activities and technical support.
Summary of Key Fnctions:
Â· Support to formulation of programme strategies
and the Country Programme Action Plan;
Â· Support to management of the CO programme and
administrative support to the Programme Unit;

Duties & Responsibilities:
Supports formulation of programme strategies and the Country Programme Action Plan focusing on achievement of the following results:
Â· Collection, analysis and presentation of information for identification of areas for support and programme formulation/ implementation.
2. Provides effective support to management of the CO programme focusing on the achievement of the following results:
Â· Creation of projects in Atlas, preparation of budget revisions, revision of project award and project status, determination of unutilized funds, operational and financial closure of a project;
Â· Presentation of information for audit of Projects;
Â· Providing support to the overall management of the programme Section such as liaison, tracking of work progress, organizing and distributing of work, maintenance of procedures and standers;
Â· Drafting substantive and non-substantive correspondent and ensuring follow-up for conformity with established procedures and accuracy of statements before signature by supervisor;
Â· Maintaining office records, references material general and project files, marinating and updating relevant manuals used by Programme Section;
Â· Managing processed related to travel, study tours other training/ non training activities outside the country in liaison with concerned units;
Â· Arranging internal and external meetings, involving high-ranking officials;
Â· Receiving screen, logs and routs correspondence, attaching necessary background information and maintain follow-up. Arranging appointments and maintain supervisorâ€™s calendar, receiving visitors, screening telephone calls and answer quires.
3. Supports resource mobilization focusing on achievement of the following results:
Â· Review of contributions agreement, managing contributions in Atlas.
4. Supports knowledge building and knowledge sharing in the CO focusing on achievement of the following results:
Â· Participation in the trainings for the operations/ projects staff on programme;
Â· Contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice;
Â· Contributions to knowledge building and knowledge sharing within the organization;
Â· Taking minutes and circulating to the managements;
Â· Preparing and processing attendance sheets for the unit staff and submission to HR;
Â· Taking updates and briefing from unit Staff to be presented to the management updates DCD and ACD meeting;
Â· Serving as unit security focal point (circulating Security advisory messages to the unit colleagues;
Â· Preparing monthly calendar of events;
Â· Maintaining all unitsâ€™ projectâ€™s failing system.

Ability to perform a variety of standard tasks related to Results Management, including screening and collecting of programme/ projects documentation, projects data entering, preparation of revisions, filing, provision of information;
Ability to provide input to business processes re-engineering, implementation of new system, including new IT based systems;
Good knowledge of Results Management Guide and Toolkit.

Prince2 training and certification, RMG and knowledge of ATLAS would be advantages.
Education and Experience:
Â· High School graduate with specialized certification in Human Resources, Finance; Administration, IT. Bachelorâ€™s degree is desirable, but it is not a requirement.
Â· 5 years of relevant administrative or programme

Â· Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web based management systems.
