Job Summary:

Effectively Coordinate, manage, lead monitor Actionaid Afghanistan’s field operation of Linking Relief and Rehabilitation and Development (LRRD) Project and is in charge of the Program in 4 districts of Balkh and Jawsjan provinces. The project coordinator is responsible to implement and monitor the project in the field and provide support to Social Organizers, Project Officers and partner organization related to the project under the guidance of Project manager in line with Actionaid Afghanistan, vision, mission and values and Project.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•Develop, design and implement people centred livelihoods programs to ensure food security and social justice
•Develop effective partnership relationship between ActionAid and poor and excluded peoples, their community, organisations
•Establish and maintain effective relations and communication with the partner NGO, Government offices and other officials
•Develop and implement effective programs that planned under the project and see future possibility and new initiatives as well.
•Ensure implementation of Linking Relief to Rehabilitation and Development (LRRD) t funded project as agreed by the organization in a qualitative and timely manner.
•Proper documentation of the work and updating the records/information and date
•Overall provide support to implement the programs in close coordination with the Program Support Unit (PSU) Team Coordinator/Manager, and other relevant staff.
•Promoting Actionaid program operation and implementation approaches through Community Based Participatory Change Plan (CBPCP) and oversee progress at the community level and ensure with the team operating in the fields
•Assisting to Project Manager in regards to project operation and its communication by providing up to date information as and whenever required
•Ensure that the principles of gender equity and justice are upheld in all work related to poverty eradication and as per the project objectives
•Promoting rights approaches, especially women rights
•Perform other related activities assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirement:

•Degree in Social Sciences or related field
•At least four years accumulated skills and experience in Projects related to rural livelihoods and agriculture
•Fluency in writing and speaking English and Local Languages
•Understanding of gender rights based issues and approaches
•Strong analytical skills
•Flexible, forward looking, open, willingness to learn new things
•Demonstrated ability to deliver quality reports within the deadline
•Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization
•Team Player
•Ample background in community mobilization
•Knowledge of Ms. Office Programs
•Good report writing skills
•Problem solving skills
•Good interpersonal skill
Willingness to travel frequently as per requirements of the project
