The Project Coordinator will report directly to the project leader and will work closely with him/her, M&E Officer and fellow coordinators in other provinces. At the end of the contract he/she will submit a final report on work undertaken which will include recommendations for future work necessary to strengthen the similar project.
The Project coordinator will be responsible for supporting the four objectives of the project and provide implementation support for the project in Kabul. The coordinator with support from the Foundation and project leader will conduct the following tasks:
1. Provide project coordination support to ensure the project is delivered with quality and within the parameters of budget and schedule;
2. Liaise with MoE in Kabul, Provincial Education Directors (PEDs) in provinces, General Education, Academic Supervision and General Directorate of Science Education and Technology to familiarize them with the project and solicit their support;
3. Together with PEDs, conduct the survey to identify the schools that meet the selection criteria for project implementation and liaise with school administrations and teachers to familiarize them with the project and solicit their support;
4. Liaise with school administrations and teachers to familiarize them with the project activities and solicit their support;
5. Organize teacher trainings at schools in coordination with schools and trainer and coordinate the training plan & agenda with schools;
6. Organize headmasters/ school management training in coordination with trainer and coordinate the training plan & agenda with schools;
7. Organize parents’ shura trainings at schools in coordination with trainer and coordinate the training plan and agenda with schools;
8. Conduct school visits and provide support to teachers on the usage of android-based application used through smart TV by mentoring & providing continuous technical support;
9. Develop weekly reports that clearly states accomplishments for the week, plans for next week, challenges, and successes;
10. Collect M&E data based on tools provided and develop evaluation reports to be submitted to the home office. Draft success stories and handle communication and outreach of the project;
11. At the end of the project, support the arrangement of a conference to showcase the activities and results of this project; and
12. Additional relevant responsibilities and tasks as needed.
1. Bachelors’ degree or diploma in Computer Science, Education or related field;
2. Excellent coordination and oral communication skills;
3. Experience in organizing workshops;
4. Experience in providing presentation, any kind of training or teaching;
5. Experience in report writing;
6. Experience in M&E;
7. Excellent written communication skills in English, Pashto / Dari;
8. Good computer skills (Typing, Word, Excel and Internet);
9. Ability to learn quickly the usage of educational application through smart TV, mobile;
10. Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills;
11. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and ability to work with schools;
12. Ability and willingness to work under pressure as part of a professional team; and
13. Must be willing to travel to different schools in the same province without Maharam.
