Job Summary:


Act as a Project Finance Officer in UNESCO Office in Kabul and be responsible for field coordination for UNESCO project of Enhancement of Literacy in Afghanistan (ELA) funded by the Government of Japan.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Under the direct authority and supervision of the Director of UNESCO Office and Administrative Officer in Kabul, the incumbent will carry out the following duties:
To provide assist in assessing, verifying and processing receipts and payments for ELA in FABS/FOX.
To maintain daily follow-up/communication with ELA staff daily in preparing financial and other supporting documents, and up to date budget allocations and allotments
To provide assist in establishing effective internal financial and assets controls for ELA Project through database management.
To record, file and maintain all hardcopy and softcopy documents systematically on the project transactions for audit; follow strictly UNESCO Financial Regulations and Rules on project financial transactions and procurements.
To carry out other duties assigned by the Administrative Officer and the Director

Job Requirement:

 University and advanced university degree (equivalent of a Masters degree) in the relevant field or equivalent professional qualification/certification
At least 4 years of progressively relevant professional experience in finance and administration
Excellent IT skills and communication skills required.
Excellent knowledge of English and fluency in Dari and Pashto language.
