About Afghan Women Resource Center

Job Summary

To raise public awareness of and create discussion around all aspects of electoral processes by supporting initiatives developed by Afghan communities and civil society nationwide.

This project aims to contribute to the overall objective of strengthening equal citizens’ participation in the electoral and decision-making processes contributing to democracy building in Afghanistan. This initiative is designed with the aim to increase the role of citizens and their understanding of the electoral and public decision making processes by endorsing and advocating for equal gender rights and accountability in democratic context.

Duties & Responsibilities

o In association with the senior management: follow the detailed timelines and schedules of valuations and implement and monitor the project’s objectives and activities to ensure that all these set targets are met.
o Direct and coordinate the activities associated with the project in order to meet AWRC organizational objectives and the donor’s expectations.
o Ensure that all the requirements or aspects of the project are undertaken and completed on time.
o Oversee the gathering and analysis of information about the project undertaken and prepare reports about the project .achievements as directed by senior management.
o Advise senior management on matters requiring attention, and implement management decisions.
o Manage and guide all project staff in all project’s objectives and monitor all work and activities undertaken with close coordination o M and E officer.
o Work within the project budget parameter and monitor all out going costs with assistance from the financial and logistics units of AWRC.
o Establish and strengthen effective relationships and communication with 4 partner CSOs.
o To be involved in organizing and deal with all administration/financial documents/transactions of the project i.e. receipts and invoices to main office.
o Attends and conducts meetings about relevant issues with staff, project participants and communities leaders.

Job Requirements

o University degree preferred;
o Strong personnel management and coordination skills.
o Excellent writing skills in Dari and English.
o Experience in NGO community and in project management
o Knowledge of/interest in human rights issues.
