Job Summary

1. Coordination and monitoring of project activities.
2. Keeping day-to-day contact with the operational and institutional counterparts involved in carrying out the project.
3. Supervision and monitoring of the tasks and activities performed by personnel working on the project. Managing any on the job training of personnel working on the project.
4. First drafting of project completion documents:
• Periodic operative plans and their eventual integration and future expansion
• Intermediate and final reports and respective statements
• Requests for variations that must be approved by Donors
• Disclosure materials.
5. Carrying out the following responsibilities and administrative functions:
• Compiling the weekly, monthly, mid-term, draft final and final reports relative to the project.
• Collecting necessary offers, in accordance with indications received from donor.
• Identification of economic commitments and sponsors necessary for project completion.
6. Collecting and transmitting all further information requested by the Donor, especially all data and observations necessary for writing synthetic reports.
7. Performing other specific duties as requested by the Director.
8. Responsible for the planning, organizing, implementing, supervision /monitoring of all project activities.

9. Assist program line managers, supervisors and other key staff in planning and implementing of program.
10. Participate in coordination meetings with donor and government agencies.
11. Follow established policies, procedures and objectives; continuous quality improvement initiative works and performance.
12. Identify and make decision to solve immediately any problem which interferes in the delivery of services or in achieving the program objectives and provide report to his/her immediate supervisor.
13. Meet with all Officers to discuss program progress and problems on a weekly base.
14. Work closely with technical and administration, finance, and logistic heads for development of programs.
15. Evaluate and supervise the performance of the staff.
16. Responsible for the planning, implementing, and supervision of all project activities.
17. Participate in monthly meetings.
18. Give comment in the interview and selection process of newly hired staff.
19. Recommend increase in salary of the provincial employees based on Admin / HR policy and procedures.
20. Any other task assign by Program Director or Program Coordinator

Job Requirements

The Team Leader should be a post-graduate, preferably in social sciences, and have working experience in social development. S/he should have 4-5 years experience in implementation of social development plan, have held positions of responsibility in previous assignments possess participatory management skills and have good knowledge of Afghanistan, local languages and land administration systems/laws. The candidate must have experience in planning/implementing resettlement program including: (i) leading/supervising multidisciplinary teams; (ii) experience with land administration/acquisition practices; (iii) excellent writing skills and demonstrated personal integrity/capacity to establish transparent and accountable work environments.
