Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for overall management of the project and coordination between stakeholders. S/he will be engaged with the consultant in planning, implementation and reporting to the management board of FINCA Afghanistan and donors.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop the scope of the project and communicate with the relevant parties
In coordination with the consultant, develop the plan and get it approved
Identifying stakeholders and their roles in the project
Plan and participate in the recruitment and trainings of agronomist and branch staff in coordination with the relevant departments
Ensure logistical arrangements are planned and shared with the respective department
Visits to the field in order collect feedback and share with the consultant
In coordination with the consultant ensure the plan is developed in line with the budget approved
Monitoring of the expenditures in coordination with the Finance department
Ensure periodic meetings are held with the stakeholders and results were shared
Prepare monthly report of the progress and challenges to the relevant parties
As a focal point of contact, maintain regular contacts with ACEII and Marketing and Product Development Manager
Job Requirement:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture required, with project management as a major subject preferred
3-5 years’ experience in project management, agriculture sector is preferred
Fluency in Dari / Pashto required. Conversant in written and spoken English.
Outstanding proven time management and organizational skills.
Candidate should have good reporting and presentation skills
Keen attention to detail with ability to track multiple projects at one time.
Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
Ability to work under pressure.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
General computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Excellent writing/communication skills.
The candidate should be able to travel outside Kabul
