Coordination of Rehabilitation and Development Services for Afghanistan (CRDSA) is a non-governmental and non-political humanitarian organization working in sectors of Sustainable Livelihood, Human Rights Promotion, Civil Society Strengthening, Returnees/IDPs Protection and Re-Integration in Afghanistan. CRDSA was established in 2002 and presently is operating in Herat, Farah,Ghor , Nimroz and Badghis provinces.

Job Summary

The Project Manager ensure that the most appropriate and relevant methods are used for successful project implementation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Lead the project staff on their daily activities.
  2. Coordinate the project with the stakeholders including with the governmental sectorial departments 
  3. Lead the hiring process of crowd controller staff
  4. Financial and administrative oversight of the project, under the supervision of the Program Manager
  5. Draft and update annual and quarterly project work plans
  6. Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of the Project and implementation of recommendations. 
  7. Closely monitor project activities against the desired outputs/results and advise the CRDSA Program Manager on required management actions and necessary modifications;
  8. Ensure the implementation of decisions made by Program Manage
  9. Prepare monthly progress updates, quarterly and annual project reports for the Project, as well as other information as may be requested;
  10. Plan, organize and oversee the necessary administrative and other logistical support to consultancy missions, workshops, overseas learning and other project activities;
  11. Exercise financial oversight of the project under the supervision of the CRDSA Program Manager to ensure accurate and efficient budget management and project delivery.
  12. Supervise the work of the Project Management Team through regular feedback and performance assessment.
  13. Prepare separate progress and financial reports as may be required under cost-sharing agreements with donors;
  14. Monitors progress against milestones and deadlines
  15. Establishes and maintain relationships with a broad range of people to understand needs, identify resources and gain support
  16. Works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals.
  17. Planning and organizing: Develops clear goals consistent with agreed strategies.
  18. Judgment: Ability to identify key issues in a complex situation and comes to the head of the problem quickly.
  19. To ensure Program strategies are implemented according to the manual, plans and the content of the agreement.
  20. To coordinate and plan weekly, monthly and annual program activities in order to reach objectives outlined in the program proposal.
  21. To supervise monitoring system and information flow system within the program and to ensures that a monitoring process is in place and data are collected and treated in a systematic manner.
  22. In charge of preparation and drafting of program reporting.
  23. Willingness to travel to Badghis provinces and the target districts;
  24. Coordinate with different project stakeholders in the province and at the district levels; 
  25. Supervise project staff and ensure the smooth and timely progress of the project activities;
  26. Ensure timely project action plan and ensure the project staff are following approved action plans; 
  27. Prepare and submit project progress report on regular basis;
  28. Ensure proper beneficiary selection process;
  29. Establish beneficiary selection committee;
  30. Ensure proper and timely preparation of project documents and filing system are in place

Job Requirements

• University Degree in Business Administration, public Administration or other relevant social science.

• Minimum of 3 years of experiences of working in the same field with national and/or international organizations.

• Knowledge of Microsoft office (word, excel, access, power point)

• Proficiency in English, with excellent writing skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and problem solving skills

• Report writing skills
