A challenging position in a programme that has demonstrated its value for improving the livelihood of the local population. Duty station will initially be in Kabul, with frequent travel to project areas in Afghanistan. Offered is a 12-months contract with possible extension. This is an unaccompanied post. Duties & Responsibilities

The Project Manager will be in charge of supervising and monitoring some of the projects in North East and Central Afghanistan, in close collaboration with the Country Programme Director in Kabul and with Afghan counterpart staff.

Job Requirements

Academic training or advanced applied qualifications in Agricultural Economics and Veterinary Medicine and/or Livestock Production. Good managerial qualifications are essential, as are demonstrated effective interpersonal skills. At least 5 years experience in development work, preferably in the Muslim world, is appreciated. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, and computer skills are required.
