Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Civil works, Finishing, painting, sanitary and sewer works, overall site, staff & labor handling capabilities
  • Coordinates efforts with internal resources, consultants, and staff.
  • Balances details and technical aspects with functional requirements such that project expectations are met within budgetary and schedule constraints
  • Communicates effectively with senior management, elected officials and their staff, stakeholders, and other public/Gov agencies
  • Works with management to balance workloads between available resources
  • Manages and supervises consultants, contractors, and other subject matter experts in the preparation of planning and construction documents, and in the implementation of construction
  • Develops project scope, goals, and deliverables to ensure client needs and project limitations are captured in the contract documents, design efforts, and construction
  • Provides leadership with the direction of the Division Manager and Program Delivery Manager to be responsible and accountable for the effective and efficient management of all assigned projects
  • Proactively identifies and addresses critical schedule, budget or performance issues with team members and engage management as necessary to resolve issues and mitigate risks before they negatively impact the project


Bachelor's Degree in in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field

  • A minimum of five (7) years of professional experience in the management of multi-disciplined projects in architecture, engineering or construction fields
  • Experience in Construction Project Management


Additional Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills English, Pashto and Dari Languages
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to coordinate efforts with consultants, contractors, and internal resources to ensure the project runs smoothly from inception through end of construction
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in the administration of finances as associated with project management, i.e. cost estimation and budgeting
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction plans, estimates, surveys, and specifications
  • Ability to lead negotiations with consultants, contractors, other agencies, and stakeholders to procure resources and formalize cooperative relationships that achieve project goals
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to exercise flexibility in accommodating shifting priorities, demands, and schedules
  • Ability to deal tactfully with a diverse group of people in a professional manner in a complex organization
  • Ability to drive a county or personal vehicle to various job sites as needed to accomplish tasks
  • Strong Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills
