PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The purpose of this position is to provide project management and coordination support to theConstruction Development Unit (CDU) and Monitoring and Evaluation Unit (M and E) and others involved in the management and in planning, disbursement, financial controls and other project related matters.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the key responsibilities of the Project Manager are outlined as follows:
1.Upon signing of the Project Grant Agreement, take over project management responsibilities until completion and establish contacts with the implementing partner as the project manager.
2.Oversee the administrative, financial and technical tasks related to projects under implementation.
3.Responsible for ongoing liaison with and provision of support to the implementing partners
4.Stay in close contact with M and E Unit of Harakat to ensure measurable results are achieved during the implementation of the project
5.Visit the implementation site(s) periodically and oversee the physical accomplishments
6.Report to SCL Team (M and E, FPU and CEO) on project challenges and achievements
7.Highlight implementation challenges and suggest appropriate solutions, developed in consensus with Harakat team
8.Participate in the Performance Review Sub Committee and Proposal Sub Committee meetings.
9.Establish a Project Management Task Force team comprised of relevant SCL staff on an ad-hoc basis in order to address implementation issues and bring back projects on track
10.Facilitate the release of project installments by assessing and reporting on the results of the project to the M and E Unit
11.Evaluate financial controls of the implementing partners in collaboration with the Finance and Procurement Unit (FPU) of SCL.
12.Highlight lessons learned and success stories for SCL team in order to improve internal operations and reporting.
13.Any other relevant tasks assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
1.Minimum Bachelor Degree (preferably Master Dgree in civliengineering )
2. Minimum five years work experience in Construction and managent of Irrigatian
3. Good written and spoken Pashtu, Dari and English
4. MS office ,AutoCAD Permaveraa andwrite emails and communicate through internet.
