About GRM International :
The Development Assistance Facility Afghanistan (DAFA) is an AusAID project supporting capacity building in four key Ministries: Ministry of Education, Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock and Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development.
The DAFA needs an energetic, experienced and enthusiastic person with a lot of initiative to be the Project Officer in order to assist in the operations of DAFA.
Duties & Responsibilities:
â€¢ Coordinating in-country orientation for all national advisors/personnel and International consultants.
â€¢ Preparation of ToRs and recruitment, selection and contracting of national advisors/personnel
â€¢ Assisting in the implementation of DAFA procedures, including recruitment strategy and procurement procedures
â€¢ Perform as the focal point for coordination of DAFA administration, procurement, logistics issues with the GRMAF Operations Department
â€¢ Providing administrative support to the DAFA Steering Committee
â€¢ Providing secretarial and administration support to the Facility Manager and Deputy Facility Manager
â€¢ Provide administrative and logistical support to technical teams and DAFA Management;
â€¢ Provide assistance in the preparation of documentation, reports and correspondence as required;
â€¢ Providing technical and administrative support to the DAFA Activities as and when required;
â€¢ Project file record keeping (contracts, insurance, etc)
â€¢ Identify opportunities for administrative process improvement and work with colleagues to implement improvements;
â€¢ Other tasks as requested by DAFA Management.
â€¢ Tertiary qualification in administration, international development or related field;
â€¢ At least two years work experience
â€¢ Strong analytical capability and the ability to understand complex issues;
â€¢ Excellent English, Dari and Pashto language skills;
â€¢ Strong interpersonal and written and oral communication skills, with the ability to liaise with government, donor and partner organisations in a professional and effective manner;
â€¢ Well developed and highly effective time management and organisational skills;
â€¢ Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Access); and
â€¢ Bookkeeping skills an advantage.
â€¢ Capacity to work independently and use initiative to seek out opportunities
â€¢ Ability to operate positively and productively under pressure and to balance several competing priorities at once
â€¢ Demonstrated interest in development work
â€¢ Willingness to travel when required
