Shall be responsible for the quality design and implementation of the Marketing, business development and employment strategy of the VTAW-Project. She will over see the IPOs marketing, business development and employment strategies are meeting the demands of the project to accessing employment and business start up for the graduates.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. With support from the Senior Project Supervisor develop and implement the marketing, business and employment strategy of the project. 60 % of Time:
Support implementing partners to develop the business component and promote employment for the graduates:
â€¢ Plan and supervise labor market surveys on a regular basis and liaise with Vocational Training Institutes to ensure training matches current needs in the market.
â€¢ Ensure an accurate and timely implementation of the business and entrepreneurship training for the trainees
â€¢ In co-ordination with the Implementing partners, develop an efficient network with private enterprises and government departments/institutions to promote employment for graduates.
â€¢ Support the Business Development Officers and Marketing Officers in implementing the business and marketing component of the IPOs.
â€¢ Work with the BDOs and MOs in identifying appropriate markets and linkage with the graduates.
â€¢ Work with the BDOs and MOs in organizing and developing graduates into Producer Groups, building their capacity in various business areas and supporting them to start up own businesses.
â€¢ Work with the BDOs and MOs in ensuring that graduates particularly women who cant work out of their houses are producing in their houses and are linked with the markets for their finished products.
â€¢ Encourage graduates, their family members and other community members to join and form Savings and Credit Groups with in their communities.
â€¢ Promote the culture of savings among the formed groups; develop their capacities through identifying relevant areas for training.
â€¢ Facilitate the linkage of the formed S and CGs with reputable Micro Finance institutions for sustainability purposes.
2. Assist the Senior Project Supervisor in Administration. 10 % of Time:
â€¢ Provide appropriate guidance and support to the four Project marketing Officers.
â€¢ Supervise and conduct appraisals for the four Project Marketing Officers.
3. Reporting, monitoring and project learning 20 % of Time
â€¢ Work with the DM and E Supervisor in generating the required project data.
â€¢ Ensure quality and timely submission of narrative reports to the Senior Project Supervisor.
â€¢ Ensure the timely reporting of the IPOs (Monthly)
â€¢ Submit periodic up dates to the DM and E for the generation of human interest stories and for up dates with the communications department.
â€¢ With support from DM and E, develop relevant indicators for the marketing and employment sector.
â€¢ Monitor and follow up employment, marketing and business activities to ensure timely and quality implementation.
4. Others 10 % of Time
â€¢ Work in collaboration with Senior Account Officer and Finance Department to ensure that implemented activities are in line with budget and cash flow.
â€¢ As may be delegated represent the VTAWP to government, donors and other institutions as well as within CARE.
Undertake other related project activities as may be delegated.
EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in related fields
WORK EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years experience in the field of Marketing and business/enterprise development.
SKILLS: Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Proficiency in computer word processing, Spreadsheets excels and Power point.
LANGUAGES: Fluency in both writing and speaking Dari, Pashto, English language and posses good communication skills.
GENERAL: Under the supervision of Senior Project Supervisor
TRAITS: Willingness to work under pressure and extra hours
DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:
Review and approve financial documents as per the regulations of the organization.
