ACTIN AGAINST HUNGER (AAH), Multi Location
Action Against Hunger (AAH) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that was created in France in 1979. AAH has been active in Afghanistan in the medical, nutrition, food security, water and sanitation and Mental Health fields since 1995.

Promoter is responsible for:
Mission 1: Community mobilization and sensitization
- Revise and become familiar with sensitization materials on personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene, safe water consumption, latrine sanitation and environmental sanitation.
- Revise and become familiar with sensitization materials on cooking and nutrition.
- Organize sensitization sessions with students (boys and girls), student’s mothers, and teachers (male and female) on above mentioned sensitization topics.
- Support with the development of engaging sensitization sessions and implement them with beneficiaries.
- Carry out pre and post tests with beneficiary groups to measure the impact of sensitization sessions.
Mission 2: Formative Research
- Carry out individual and focus group discussions with beneficiary groups to identify issues and barriers relating to: access to WASH facilities, Food Security and Nutrition.
- Identify trends in beneficiary responses and support supervisor with the compilation of information collected.
- Carry out house visits of beneficiaries to carry out additional research.
Mission 3: ACF’s Image
- Ensure the professional image of ACF programme
- Respect for the principles and values of ACF in the framework of the partnership
- Respect ACF charter.
- Represent the organization with the beneficiaries with the agreement of the hierarchical supervisor.
- Involve and inform the communities in the implementation of the program;
Education:
- Public health or teacher diploma is preferred.
Experience:
- Experience in Nutrition and Health promotion,
- Experience working with children or in school settings
- Prior experience with a national or international NGO is preferred
Skills:
- Excellent communication with people
- Excellent training skills
- Confidence to lead discussions and trainings
- Good organizational capacity
- Autonomy
- Knowledge of local language (Dari, Pashto)
- English language skills are an asset.
