Duties & Responsibilities:
Proposal Writer:Proposal writers' job descriptions discuss the job responsibilities, which include "developing and preparing" proposals that respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Proposal writers are also expected to develop presentations for their employers and field and respond to any requests for information for the company's sales team.The proposal writer is expected to work closely with several departments and representatives of departments, such as sales and the contract department. He should be able to develop good working relationships with people in the proposal writing department and other departments. His duties include negotiating contracts, agreements and provisions, administering private and government funds and contracts, tracking proposals and performance databases, writing proposals and other documentation, updating existing databases, making sure that proposals in progress are in compliance with instructions, managing production and the distribution of all work documents, ensuring proposal formatting, helping with developing and implementing work solutions, developing sales presentations and gathering critical information for different personnelBid Writer: Bid writers possess excellent technical writing and communication skills. They have the ability to write about complex, technical concepts in easy-to-understand ways and convey ideas graphically. Good bid writers maintain a working knowledge of standard writing, research and electronic distribution tools, such as word processing and desktop publishing programs, graphic design applications and email. They are also familiar with techniques for performing audience analyses and are knowledgeable about their company's products or service offerings; bid writers use these skills to tailor documents to specific audiences and generate business for their company.
Qualifications and Requirements: â€¢Experience from working in the development sector, preferably for a Construction company funded by USAID, Corp of Engineering etc. â€¢University degree, civil engineering.â€¢Familiarity with donors and their requirements, especially USAID, USACE, UNOPS etc. â€¢Very good understanding of coherence, consistency and quality in documentation â€¢Very good spoken and written English â€¢Excellent spoken and written Dari and Pashto â€¢Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, prima vira, M/S project.â€¢â€¢Willingness to learn â€“ ability to take initiatives, innovate and pursuer work proactively, without daily supervision â€¢â€¢Communicative and team-spirited â€¢Ability to priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously â€¢Ability to meet deadlines and communicate in the language of requiring.
