Job Summary:
FIA is seeking for a qualified individual to serve as Provincial Manager for a survey project in five provinces. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills to identify key development challenges in each assigned province. Under the supervision of FIA’s Country Director and BDS Director, the person will be responsible for the overall management of the project cycle. He/she will develop the research design of the project including survey forms, market research analysis, comprehensive numeric databases, administration tools and M and E indicators. The person will be responsible for the project implementation in collaboration with data analysts and surveyors. He/she will also be responsible for managing the relationship with the clients, donors and all stakeholders involved.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1.Conduct a situational analysis in 5 provinces
2.Responsible to develop and design project cycle, market research, and business environment analysis tools.
3.Responsible to identify key barriers on economic development activities and businesses in the provincial level.
4.Manage the team to conduct surveys, market research, business meetings, group discussions, and interviews with relevant stakeholder at the provincial level.
5.Responsible for the collection and analysis of primary and secondary data.
6.Assist the provincial surveyors to prepare interview materials.
7.Responsible for the management of administrative tasks and daily operations of the project.
8.Identify key economic factors through primary resources and perform and in-depth analysis to identify different growth sectors in the province.
9.Prepare progress reports for donors.
10.Coordinate meetings with donors and organize conferences.
11.Responsible for the Monitoring and Evaluation of the program throughout the project cycle.
12.Submit recommendations and identify strategies to overcome complex environmental and economic problems.
Job Requirement:
1.Minimum of 5 years of experience in survey design and implementation.
2.Minimum of 3 years of training in economic and market studies (preferably in rural development or business/enterprise)
3.Bachelors Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Statistics, or other related field.
4.Excellent oral, written and communications in English, Dari, and Pashto.
5.Experienced in working with MS office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
6.Strong analytical, organizational, and managerial skills
7.Demonstrated knowledge in consultancy, advisory and analytical solutions.
8.Individuals with SME lending, commercial banking and BDS experience will be preferable.
