Job Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Summary of position
• The Provincial Project Manager (PPM) will be responsible for the successful processing of Infrastructure projects and provision of facilitaties for NABDP all components projects/activities in the province.
• He will provide periodic work plan, monitoring plan and progress reports. He will be responsible for the facilitation of the project cycle approach in his province, the follow up and monitoring of the implementation of projects from DDP or, other sources approved by NABDP.
• Have coordination with PRRD and the related organizations regarding NABDP activities in the province.
• PPM is responsible for management of provincial administrative and logistics activities.

Job description/responsibilities/tasks
In collaboration with the Technical Support Unit in general and the Regional Manager in particular, the Provincial Project Manager (PPM) will be responsible for:
• Facilitation, Supervision and Monitoring of all stages of the project cycle in the targeted districts of the province
• Ensure reliability of the selected projects in coordination with the Governor, DDA members and line Ministries Departments
• Contribute to the update of the provincial database for completion in Kabul office
• Keep record of provincial project implementation.
• Undertake frequent field visits may be required.
• Developing and Maintaining Relationships With PRRD and Other key stakeholders
• Ensure the establishment of a close working relationship and cooperation with PRRD- directorates and partners operating at provincial/district level, and provide on the job training.
• Participate in provincial meetings of coordinating bodies.
• Monitor the progress on agreed plans, initiate corrective actions and produce monthly and ad hoc reports to RM, with a copy to centre.
• Facilitate all the relevant field visits.

A. Capacity Building
• Provide facilitation for training of DDA members as and when required
• Provide facilitation for trainers and other development learning opportunities in general
• Ensure that NABDP/MRRD strategies relating to recovery and capacity development are effectively and efficiently implemented;
• Ensure inclusion of cross-cutting themes (e.g., gender) in planning/ implementation
• Organise/facilitate workshops to review provincial level projects different cycle as per requirement;
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirement:

Qualifications /Experience Required:

• University degree in Business Administration, Development or other related fields. Degree in Civil Engineering is a preference
• Proven management skills;
• Excellent communication skills: speaking, writing, and listening;
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills including diplomacy, tact, and the ability to negotiate and influence;
• Facilitation, consulting, and/or training skills highly desirable; and
• Computer skills, including extensive experience using Microsoft Word and Excel. Internet and e-mail skills required.

Abilities
• Fluency in English, Dari and/or Pashtu languages;
• Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively;
• Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member;
• Ability to think and communicate clearly with others, motivate and lead people;
