Action Aid furthers its mission in Afghanistan through long term development projects with sponsorship funding as well as short and medium term donor funded projects aligned to the overall mission, principles and values of ActionAid.

Job Summary:

Plays a key role in ensuring program quality, sharing good development practices to staffs and other stakeholders, and supporting and promoting Accountability, Learning and Planning System (ALSPs) within Actionaid Afghanistan.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Primary Objective of the Position:
Plays a key role in ensuring program quality, sharing good development practices to staffs and other stakeholders, and supporting and promoting Accountability, Learning and Planning System (ALSPs) within Actionaid Afghanistan.

Specific Responsibilities of the Position
•Provide support to the PSU leader in programme quality, overall coordination and monitoring of field work
•Provide regular supports to the Impact Assessment and Shared learning Manager
•Implement Monitoring and Evaluation system based on ALPS at the field level
•Ensure Program quality in the field operations
•Ensure timely and quality reports like case studies, M and E data, baseline data
•Be responsible for Participatory Review and Reflection Process (PRRP)
•Provides recommendations on Actionaid Afghanistan strategic direction and improving Actionaid Afghanistan performance at the field level.
•Provide technical supports on appraisals, reviews and impact assessments to Impact Assessment and Shared learning Manager and Provincial Support Unit Manager/Coordinator, staff and partners organizations
•Promotes and supports ALPs within and outside Actionaid Afghanistan
•Synthesizes and compiles reports to IA/SL Manager
•Promotes quality within Actionaid Afghanistan in close coordination with IA/SL Manager
•Minimum standards for quality evaluation are well developed and implemented at the field level
•Promotes shared learning within and outside the organization
•Experience and lessons learnt are documented and shared with relevant department/DAs/ and others
•Any other responsibility assigned by the line manager as and when required
•Compile MoE report at PSU level
•Arrange and communicate PSU level meetings (PSU management meeting PSU staff meeting…)
•Create and Maintain programmatic institutional memory (DA base line…) at PSU level
•Maintain systematic documentation and profile at PSU level
•Assess team Capacity building needs

Personal Specifications:

•Bachelor in Development Studies or appropriate Social Science
