The Psychologist will conduct regular counseling sessions for children and their families at the street children centre. They will also be involved in community outreach, setting up and maintaining the referral system for beneficiaries and supervising weekly group counseling sessions at the centre

Duties & Responsibilities:
â€¢ Support outreach workers to identify children and their families to be part of street children centre
â€¢ Maintain a daily counseling schedule with children
â€¢ Provide counseling sessions with children's families on a monthly basis and maintain case records
â€¢ Provide weekly group counseling sessions with street children according to planned schedule
â€¢ Liaise with outreach workers on street children follow up in the field
â€¢ Follow a high standard method of psychological therapy (for children and their parents)
â€¢ Conducting advocacy sessions on child protection and against child abuse with special groups
â€¢ Maintain close cooperation with religious leaders regarding community awareness of children's rights
â€¢ Conduct counseling sessions for staff of the street children center about how to treat children
â€¢ Any other duties as delegated by supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1: Graduate from psychological faculty (preferred)
2: Graduate from medical faculty /psychological ward.
3: Excellent communication skills
4: At least 3 years experience as a psychologist, preferably with a specialty in child psychology and psycho-social care.
5: Fluency in Dari and Pashto
6: Strong capacity building and facilitation skills.
8: Ability to work in a team environment.
