Project/Proposal Summary:
The Assistance for Afghanistan’s Anti-Corruption Authority Project is a three-year, USAID-funded anticipated program to provide assistance to the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in its effort to build a strong, effective institution to lead, monitor and report on efforts to combat corruption in Afghanistan. This project will primarily work with the Afghanistan High Office of Oversight (HOO).
Position Summary:
Assist HOO to successfully publicize its work, promote improved public perceptions of the Afghan government’s anticorruption efforts, and engage stakeholders from Afghan civil society and the private sector in formulating and assisting anticorruption efforts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Engage civil society and the private sector in workshops to identify their priorities and ideas for Afghan government anticorruption initiatives;
• Identify and support ways for civil society and the private sector to work on joint programs that reduce opportunities for corruption;
• Work with the media to conduct public awareness and information campaigns about anticorruption efforts.
Job Requirement:
• Experience developing and implementing communication/outreach strategies for government agencies on public policy issues and citizen rights-using a range of media channels;
• Experience mounting public awareness and information campaigns;
• USAID-funded project experience strongly preferred.
• Fluency in Dari and Pashto required. Professional level fluency in English required.
