Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA) began as an agency that provided licenses to companies wishing to invest in Afghanistan. AISA has now evolved into a pro-active institution on promoting and attracting investment to Afghanistan. AISA, having its main office in Kabul and regional offices in Herat, Kandahar, Mazar-i-sharif, Nangharhar, Khost, Kunduz, Paktia, Faryab and Helmand province, delivers a wide range of services to investors all over the country.
The Public Relations Officer will be responsible to conduct and submit all the information related to AISAâ€™s activities and objectives to Investment Promotion Department (IPD). She/he will also assist the Investment Promotion Director in creating/editing/conducting information to the general public, private sector, international donors and organizations.
The Public Relation Officer under the direct supervision of IPD director will be responsible to develop and implement such effective and efficient strategy that would make a positive and long term image of AISA.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Public Relations Officer will be directly reporting to the Investment Promotion Director. He/She will assist the Investment Promotion Director and undertake the following duties.
â€¢ Assist in development of annual/quarterly communication work-plans as a part of the AISA action plan;
â€¢ Prepare a brief report for news papers and Media channels including video (visual), audio (radio news) and press media.
â€¢ Inform IPD and all colleagues from Investment related news and other economic issues.
â€¢ Provide and arrange information for speaking at press conferences, press release, invitations, newsletter and other press related activities.
â€¢ Prepare reports from press conferences and other events related to export issues for organization.
â€¢ Assist Investment Promotion Director in implementing the technical activities in order to arrange press conferences, economic dialogue for creating strong relation with international buyer and, with local producer, exporter and traders.
â€¢ Gathers economic news in co-operation of Director and organization.
â€¢ Organize and provide material for organization website after the approval of Director.
â€¢ Develop newsletters and other publications in Dari, Pashto and English under the supervision of Director.
â€¢ Implement annual survey in order to evaluate the activities of organization and process of Investment and assist in the analysis of reports.
Qualification and Experience:
â€¢ Bachelorâ€™s degree in Journalism, Economics, Public Relations and other relevant fields and a minimum of 2 years experience in the mentioned field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
â€¢ Must have excellent PC skills, including familiarity with Outlook, Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
â€¢ Excellent communication (oral and written in English) and interpersonal skills.
