Require QC Manager
Duties & Responsibilities:
Under supervision of AKCC, the selected candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:
â€¢ Check and study of RFP, scope of work, technical requirement, site plan drawings and specifications.
â€¢ Organize and follow-up construction meetings.
â€¢ Submittal of sample and technical data of construction material, electrical and mechanical fixture to USACE resident engineer office for approval.
â€¢ Preparation of construction material and equipment on time.
â€¢ Daily coordination meeting with contractors.
â€¢ Attend weekly QC meeting at clientâ€™s office.
â€¢ Prepare monthly progress report for payment.
â€¢ Prepare site Work plan and two weeks schedule for resident engineer office.
â€¢ Ensuring testing and approval of soil, material, equipment, tools, and work such as concrete etc.
â€¢ Ensure that the provided materials are in accordance with the approved specifications and samples
â€¢ Ensure that all equipment and tools are tested before use and periodically.
â€¢ Monitor the QC and QS engineers and to ensure that they carry out their works by applying quality works standards, rules, regulations and good practices.
â€¢ Ensure the development of the Project Safety Management Plan and job site management system.
â€¢ Check and control the QC requirement as per approved quality control plan for project.
â€¢ Check and control safety requirement as per approved safety plan for project.
â€¢ Train the QC and safety teams in accordance with approved project safety and QC plans.
â€¢ Confirm that all site activities are in accordance with specification and approved drawings.
â€¢ Preparation of daily QC report, weekly QC coordination meting, monthly progress report, deficiency report, material supplying report to site final inspection report.
â€¢ B.Sc in Civil Engineering.
â€¢ More than 8 years experience in the Building Construction.
â€¢ Minimum 4 years of work experience as Quality Control Manager with US Army Corps of Engineers
â€¢ Able to Communicate and Comprehend in English and local languages.
â€¢ Able to Operate Computer Systems, and should be able to use MS Project for Scheduling.
â€¢ Able to give Technical instructions to the implementing partners/subcontractors.
â€¢ Ensure adequate documentation and filling system.
â€¢ Able to Operate QCS (Contractors Quality Control System).
