About Afghanistan Rural Enterprise Development Programme:
Under the supervision of Provincial Admin Officer, the Radio Operator is responsible to coordinate with the related office staff, security guards and drivers to provide reliable information about the security situation related to the operational areas of AREDP.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Intelligence gathering, evaluation, and dissemination to related staff member;
ï‚· Monitor security situation and analyze weekly reports;
ï‚· Conducting surveys and reports where required;
ï‚· Operate SMS-, Email-Information-System and Emergency Phone;
ï‚· Ensures that all communication equipment is in working condition;
ï‚· Perform repairs of radios and related communications equipment where necessary;
ï‚· Processes and maintains up-to-date records and logs of all incoming/outgoing traffic, facilitating distribution through hard/soft copies;
ï‚· Monitors the VHF communications networks including executing plans in times of need/crisis/emergency, as applicable;
ï‚· Monitors the HF system for incoming/outgoing voice/data messages from vehicles and other networks covered by the mission and relay information appropriately;
ï‚· Monitors mobile vehicle traffic whilst logging in the location and situation of the personnel aboard (vehicle tracking);
ï‚· Ensures that rules of communication are followed;
ï‚· Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
ï‚· Minimally 3-5 years of working experience in a similar position with references
ï‚· No history of theft or damage
Some English language knowledge (reasonable conversational level);
ï‚· Personal integrity and reliability
ï‚· Language skills
ï‚· Must be extremely reliable, trustworthy, and a good team worker.
ï‚· Must be able to work under pressure, show self-initiative, be polite;
ï‚· Ability to work independently and also as an effective team member.

Reports to Provincial Administration Officer, and accountable to AREDP Senior Management.
