Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to maintain tracking of missions during the night, International staff movements and radio check, close coordination with administrative staff, Provincial Manager and in close contact with Security department of Kabul Office. The Radio Operator ensures tracking of Actionaid staff missions and movements during night with the Actionaid Afghanistan Security Policy and Procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

•To be fully responsible for the functions of the security communications equipments and other electronics machines during the nights
•Registration of incoming and outgoing Messages
•To send and receive radio messages, electronics mail, paper messages and etc
•Keep record of all communication tools
•Following up the phone call records for Actionaid Afghanistan Thuraya users
•To work in certain situation for more than official time
•To be helpful for other colleagues
•Records and inventory of the related unit
•To assistant administrative and provincial manager with any other tasks within his/her possibilities when required
•Attend regularly security meetings
•Regular briefing to all field staff during the night
•Security induction to the new staff and guest coming to Balkh PSU
•Developing maps of the operation areas
•Compiling and dissemination weekly/monthly security information to staff
•To establish and strengthen relations with concerned security information sources of government, ANSO, UN agencies and related INGOs

Job Requirements

•High School Graduate and Bachelor degree an advantage
•At least two years experiences working in security section
•To be familiar with proper usage of radio and other communication tools
•Report writing skills
•Good interpersonal skill
•Gender sensitive
•Good language skill in both English and Local languages
•Team player
•Humanitarian motivation
•Ability to work in Multi-cultural team
•Willingness to travel to other provinces
