Job Summary:

Carries out the procedures of the safety manual.
Operates radio networks, receives and dispatches messages
Performs programming of radios and related communications equipment, when required

Duties & Responsibilities:

B. Detail of Tasks
Ensures that all communication equipment is in working condition
Transmits/receives clear and confidential messages through indicated media.
Processes and maintains up to date records and logs of all incoming/outgoing traffic, facilitating distribution through hard/soft copies.
Monitors the VHF communication networks of region including executing plans in times of need/crisis/emergency, as applicable.
Monitors the HF system for incoming/outgoing voice/data messages form vehicles and other networks covered by the mission and relay information appropriately.
Monitors mobile vehicle traffic whilst logging in the location and situation of the personnel abroad (convoy tracking).
Ensures that all staff members and their dependents are kept fully informed on matters affecting their security.
Announce all security relevant incidents through VHF and ensure that all staff is fully informed.
Presses and maintain up to date records and logs of all incoming /out going movement
Set up radio check with all international staff
Making hand over and take over and giving security briefing of their shift to security advisor
Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirement:

• At least two years work experience in this field.
• Knowledge of HF and VHF radio operations
• Fluent English and Dari.
• Solid Computer skills in (Ms. Office)
• Good knowledge of using Internet.
• Two years working experience in the field of Radio/Communication
• Self-motivated, ability to operate without supervision.
• Ability and willingness to learn
