Sayara Media and Communication is one of Afghanistan’s leading communication agencies dedicated to social marketing and public information for development. Our growing client list includes UN agencies, USAID, EC, NGOs and private companies working in the development field.
We are currently looking to hire a full-time Radio Production Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Developing production strategies and timelines
- Monitoring and directing the production process
- Directing the production staff, mentoring junior members and developing their skills and knowledge, arranging staff meetings.
- Resolving production problems
- Arranging for rehearsals prior to recording
- Editing scripts to meet client expectations, and preparing them for production
- Selecting most appropriate actors for production and scheduling rehearsals, recordings, and editing
- Assigning reporters their assignments either in Kabul or provinces; as well as editing schedules. Keeping track and organization of them.
- Arranging short trips to provinces for recording
- Providing reports to program managers and the director
- Cooperation with the TV team to share ideas and materials
- Dealing with day-to-day management, including delegating tasks to staff
- Preparing activity reports
- Keeping informed of market trends in terms of radio production and broadcasting
- Monitoring equipment and logistics related to the radio studio and staff, suggesting upgrades or repairs when necessary
- Devising systems to improve production flow
- Quality assurance for the final production before being submitted to client
- Editing and mixing
Job Requirement:
1. Media Knowledge of Afghanistan especially of Radio
2. At least 2 years experience in managing radio production facility
3. University degree (Advantage)
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
5. Excellent managerial skills
6. Excellent computer skills
7. Flexibility in terms of working hours
